Thanks again... he is worth all the pain.

angelina: He was 3.1kg. I know what you mean, doctors in private hosp back home in KL are the same. They will offer c-section at the smallest excuse. For us, it was a necessity in the end, I'd never planned on c-section at all! I'm just glad the baby's safe.

Tine, Jen2, FW: Thank you! I don't know your case and the c-section sounds like it was a valid move, but i have seen many mothers told to have surgery because the doctors just cant be stuffed to wait 10 hrs for delivery. Especially if you have insurance, or look like a couple that can easily afford it, C-section deliveries are alarmingly high in Jakarta. Some doctors even make up bullsh*t reasons to get in the operating room.
It's gotten so bad , that many expecting mothers choose elective c-section, where an epidural is given so the mother can be awake during the birthing process, also there is less risk for the baby and mother compared to full blown anasthesia.
but anyways, its over and done with now, congrats on your newborn. lots of sleepless nights ahead for you though, so good luck.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6346950212325798364.post-9970473273683469892008-11-10T19:49:00.000-08:002008-11-10T19:49:00.000-08:00oh wow..you managed to capture that pretty well, c...oh wow..you managed to capture that pretty well, considering your 'oo look at the pretty stars' state..heehee..

but as you said - he's worth it.
