Even though I put my old digicam on a shelf, Connor managed to clamber up and grab it. He was very pleased with his success and was walking around waving the camera.
After a while I realised he wasn't just waving it. He was putting right up to his nose and squinting over it. When I bothered to listen, I realised he was saying, "Smile! Ka-chik, ka-chik!" while looking very serious.
It dawned on me that Connor was playing at taking pictures and he was doing exactly what we do to him when we want to take pictures of him. Ka-chik sounds just about right too.
So funny I laughed even though I wasn't in the mood for smiles.
