Christmas is almost here!

Yep, it's almost here! I'm so excited because this is our first ever Christmas as a family in our own home.

Connor loves the tree we bought. He'll make me turn the lights on even in the afternoon because he enjoys it. All the baubles are still intact but there's many days to go yet before we put the tree away and I'm sure Connor will manage to break one or two. I'm still looking for my tree topper. When I was a little girl, I read an Enid Blyton story about an airplane tree topper with a little pilot in it. I'm still looking.

Today we put up the lights around our front door and hung up the Christmas air balloon light we bought. We did the same in Connor's room and put up the Christmas train light we bought him. Everything's so pretty to look at. When Connor saw the lights up in his room, he exclaimed, "Oh the lights!" That was so funny.

Connor took a nap just now so we stopped all the decorating business and kept things quiet. We'll put up the Christmas stocking over our "fireplace" later. The "fireplace" is actually our tv box... erm.. whatever you call it... but it's the only place where it makes sense to put the stocking up.

Mummy has finished wrapping all of Connor's Christmas pressies so she's happy. Just gotta wait till Daddy goes to work tomorrow before I wrap his present.

We've got turkey and stuffing in our freezer all waiting for their big day. Dear Hubby nipped round to Cold Storage last weekend when they had their wine fair and bought RM600 worth of alcohol. My bro-in-law dropped by yesterday with a lovely Christmas pudding from Marks & Spencers and I love Christmas pudding so I'm really pleased.

Looks like we're all set to have a lovely family Christmas this year and that's all I want.

  1. Sounds like you're all set! I had grand plans for turkey once. Passed and went for chicken instead hehe

  2. I'm really nervous about the turkey as I've never ever cooked one before. So tonight we're going to MSN with me mum-in-law and ask her how she does hers. LOL
