How to get rid of a faulty fridge

When we were back in UK this summer for about 2 1/2 weeks, my mother-in-law's fridge broke down 3 times. That was 3 times we had to help her haul out everything in the fridge and find somewhere to store it. It was 3 times we had to throw food away because there was not enough space in the freezer for it or because it couldn't be frozen.

I called her recently to check if they were safe from the UK riots in Liverpool, she said to me "I wouldn't know what to do if those yobs came into the house and demanded something."

I suggested brightly "You can ask them to take the fridge away, Mum!"

She thought it was a very clever idea. Hehe. Gotta keep your sense of humour even in the worst of times, eh.
